Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Silvertown Events ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you use the Platform at silvertown.events. We process personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. Personal data we collect

• Account data — your name and email address from the Google account you sign in with.
• Registration & attendee data — details you provide when buying tickets, which may include attendee name, email, phone number, date of birth, residency/nationality, emergency contact, and event-specific details (e.g. t-shirt size, category, seat or bib).
• Order & payment data — order history and payment status. Card and banking details are handled by our payment gateway, not stored by us.
• Consent records — a snapshot of the waivers and notices you agreed to at the time of purchase.
• Technical data — basic log and device information collected automatically when you use the Platform.

2. How we use your data

• To process your order, issue e-tickets, and manage check-in at events.
• To send you transactional emails (order confirmations, e-tickets, important event updates).
• To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Platform, and to prevent fraud or misuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Disclosure of your data

We disclose personal data only as needed to run the service:

• Event organisers — where we act as ticketing agent, we share the attendee and registration data necessary for them to manage entry and the event.
• Service providers — our hosting, database, email and payment providers (including Google Cloud, Firebase, and our payment gateway) process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Storage & security

Your data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the Singapore (asia-southeast1) region. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Event photos and order records may be retained after an event ends. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights under the PDPA

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• withdraw consent to certain processing (this may affect our ability to provide tickets or entry);
• limit the processing of your data as permitted by law.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

8. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. Where a minor is registered for an event, this must be done by a parent or guardian who consents to the processing of the minor's data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
